SRIPOKU.COM - Ular piton sepanjang 8 meter memangsa anak sapi akhirnya mati dipenggal oleh warga Desa Labunti, Kecamatan Lasalepa, Kabupaten Muna, Sulawesi Tenggara.
Berdasar keterangan warga, ular sempat melawan sebelum akhirnya berhasil dijerat dengan tali nilon. Saat itu, ular ditemukan sedang berada di antara batang-batang pohon tumbang. “Ular itu sempat melawan, tapi kita langsung potong kepalanya, langsung mati itu ular itu,” ujar Alwi, salah satu warga desa, Rabu (29/1/2020).
Usai Telan Anak Sapi Setelah mati, warga segera membelah perut ular dan menemukan bangkai seekor anak sapi yang diduga milik salah satu warga. “Kita belah itu ular dan kita temukan di dalamnya ada anak sapi,” ujar Alwi.
Sementara itu, Alwi menceritakan, kejadian iparnya pergi ke kebun untuk mencari sapinya. “Ipar saya naik ke kebun cari sapinya, dan ditemukan ular itu. Dia pulang panggil saya dan saya bersama warga naik ke kebun kita tangkap itu ular," kata Alwi.
Ular piton yang memiliki nama latin Malayophyton reticulatus di Sulawesi, memang terkenal memiliki ukuran besar Hal itu diungkapkan seorang Ilmuwan dari Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) Amir Hamidy.

Sejumlah warga membelah ular piton untuk mengeluarkan seorang perempuan paruh baya yang dimangsa ular di Desa Persiapan Lawela, Kecamatan Lohia, Kabupaten Muna, Sulawesi Tenggara.(dok. Polres Muna) Dari hasil penelusuran Kompas.com, setahun lalu di Kabupaten Muna, seekor ular piton memangsa seorang perempuan bernama Wa Tiba (54) hidup-hidup.
Perempuan warga Desa Persiapan Lawela, Kecamatan Lohia, Kabupaten Muna, Sulawesi Tenggara, tersebut ditemukan tak bernyawa dengan kondisi masih mengenakan baju lengkap di dalam perut ular.
Dari keterangan warga, Wa saat itu tengah berada di kebunnya, kurang lebih satu kilometer dari rumahnya.
Diduga, saat itulah Wa dimangsa ular piton sepanjang 7 meter. "Sekitar pukul 06.00 Wita, anak korban dan pamannya beserta warga pergi mencari, namun hanya menemukan senter, parang dan sendal milik korban. Di sekitar senter yang ditemukan, terdapat semak yang rusak, sehingga warga memperkirakan kalau korban ditelan ular,” tutur Kapolsek Kotobu Iptu Hamka saat dikonfirmasi, Sabtu (16/6/2018).
Setelah itu, warga dan aparat kepolisian setempat menemukan seekor ular yang tak bisa bergerak.
Setelah dibunuh, warga segera membelah perut ular tersebut dan menemukan WA di dalamnya dalam kondisi tak bernyawa. Selain itu, kondisi Wa masih menggunakan celana panjang dan kaus lengan panjang. Kulit tubuh korban terlihat hitam.
